Oceania exhibition in Paris 12 March to 7 July, 2019

The “Oceania” exhibition that was staged at the Royal Academy in London in 2018 is moving to Le musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac, Paris.

It will feature ethnographic items from the South Pacific Region, including some brought back by Cook and others from his three voyages.
Amongst the objects on display will be canoes, clothing, and carvings in wood and stone, all kindly provided by museums across Europe.
The exhibition will also include some items by contemporary artists working in the Pacific region, such as Lisa Reihana’s panoramic video work, previously shown at the Venice Biennale.

Some items shown in London may not be on showin Paris.

Opening times: 12 March to 7 July, 2019

Michael, An excellent question. You'll need to ask the organisers to find out. I think the excluded ones are too fragile to travel.

I would like to know which items exhibited in London are not included in the exhibition in Paris, please. Sincere thanks, Michael Grant.
