On 30 December, 1770, James Cook wrote “At 7 In the Morning wieghd with the wind at WSW and stood to the NW and weatherd Wapping Island having the current in our favour... At 1 PM the wind veer'd to the northward, we Tackd and stood to the westward and weatherd Pulo Baby. In the Evening Anchord between this Island and Bantam Bay”.

 

Joseph Banks wrote “We were again fortunate and at night anchord under Pulo Babi [Pulau Tunda]”.
