Plaque to Cook at Molesworth Street, Wellington, New Zealand

Description:
In front of the Beehive building, and within the New Zealand Parliamentary complex,  Wellington.  The plaque is round in shape, with an image of Captain Cook in the centre.

History:
The plaque commemorating Captain Cook was unveiled by HM the Queen on 12th March 1970.

Inscription:
Around the outside of the plaque are the words:

Cook Bicentenary 1769-1969
Unveiled by Her Majesty the Queen
