Plaque to Cook at Lucy Wright Beach Park, Waimea, Kaui, Hawaiian Islands, USA

Description:
The plaque was fixed to a rock, which marks the spot where Cook landed. 
The rock stands in the middle of the beach, it is weathered and bird-stained.

History:
The plaque went missing from at least 2006, and has not yet been replaced.
The beach was named after Lucy Wright, who was the first native teacher in Waimea.
In 2011 it was noted that the plaque had been stolen, it was still missing in 2015.
