Description:
Standing on the ridge leading to Two Tree Point is this small weathered stone with an almost illegible inscription on one face “Resolution Creek”, on the more sheltered face of the stone is a dedication to Mrs McClean

History:
A Scottish migrant named MacLean, who lived in the Adventure Bay area for some years, personally erected a small monument to Cook.   It is a somewhat crude affair, a piece of local dolerite rock faced with simple wording. (reported in 1993)

On the more sheltered face of the stone:

DEDICATED TO
Mrs E.F. McCLEAN
WHO DIED 20th NOV.
1950
