Description:

In the northern stairwell of Sydney Town Hall, at 483 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000.
The window shows the figure of Lt James Cook RN, in his naval uniform, standing on the deck of his ship, and holding a telescope.
On either side are depictions of his ships Endeavour and Discovery,  vessels from his first and third voyages to Australia.
Two side windows are decorated with panels of English roses.

History:
The window was commissioned from the French designer Lucien Henry, to celebrate the founding of Sydney in 1788.
The window was made by Goodlet and Smith in 1889.
