Cook and the Pacific is the title of an exhibition in the Exhibition Gallery, Ground floor, of the National Library of Australia, Canberra,
opening on 22 September 2018
and running to 10 February 2019
Entrance is free.

The exhibition contains about 180 books, maps, artefacts and other materials including multimedia, more than half of which are in the library's collection.  Other items have been borrowed from institutions in Britain, Hawaii and New Zealand.

The purpose of the exhibition is to follow James Cook’s three Pacific voyages, and explore this spectacular region through the eyes of the voyagers and the First Nations peoples they met.
The places include Tahiti, New Zealand, the east coast of Australia, Hawaii and Siberia.
