Aloha, I have seen many signs in the sky in my 20 plus years on the Big Island of Hawaii, including both Transits of Venus. I was lucky to have friends at the Keck Observatory and saw on huge screen. It was amazing. There are many simulations available to view. To see it on a big screen with dozens of astronomers and scientists was incredibly exciting. If you ever get the The Big Island of Hawaii, a sunrise or sunset from the summit of Mauna Kea 13,756ft is surreal. A visit to Kealakekua Bay and seeing where Captain James Cook met his fate is a real experience. There is a 400 year old village next to the bay which is also worth spending a day there. Aloha, Peter.
