Relief Portrait Roundel of Cook at Whitehall, London, UK

Description:
The Cook Portrait Roundel is one of a number, in lunettes, on the exterior of the second storey of the Foreign & Commonwealth Offices, and on the right bay of the Colonial Office.   The building is on the west of Whitehall and between Downing Street and King Charles Street.
The group of lunettes include Elizabeth 1st, Sir Francis Drake, David Livingstone, William Wilberforce Sir John Franklin and James Cook.

History:
The Sculptors were Henry Hugh Armstead and John Birnie Philip, who carried out the work between 1861 and 1874.
