Cook Museum in Whitby seeks new Operations Manager

 

The Captain Cook Memorial Museum, Whitby, is an award winning, volunteer-run, independent museum with a significant collection of Captain Cook and related material.  The Museum now seeks an Operations Manager to replace the current post-holder.  

 

The Operations Manager performs a key role in ensuring that the highest standards of visitor service are maintained, that the building is well managed, and assisting all those who work in the Museum in the performance of their roles and duties.  

 

The Museum is in a Grade I listed building on four floors, with disabled access only available to the ground and first floors.  The salary is c. £15,000 pa.  The working week averages 37½ hours, with some variation according to season.  The Operations Manager has line management responsibility for part-time receptionists and cleaners.
