CCS 2014 visit to Eton College

 

CCS members and friends can visit Eton College on Saturday 12th July 2014. 

The day will include a talk about Sir Joseph Banks (a former pupil of the College) by George Fussey, a member of the society and a teacher at the College. 

He is also the curator of their Natural History Museum, which includes items related to Banks’s Endeavour voyage and all of the Florilegium prints. 

Our President, Cliff Thornton, will also give a talk entitled “Captain Cook’s humming bird”. 

There will be a conducted visit to the Natural History Museum by George Fussey who will also lead a tour of the College.
