Pictures of the unveiling of the plaque to Henry Roberts

A plaque to Henry Roberts was erected on Thursday, 13th July, 2000 at Shoreham-by-Sea on, on the south coast of England.
Henry Roberts (1756 - 1796) lived in the house as a boy, and sailed as able seaman on Cook's Second Voyage and master's mate on the Third. He is best known for his painting of the Resolution and his charts reproduced in the official account of the Third Voyage.
CCSU member, Neil Luck, and Stanley Hobson (both descendants of Roberts) performed the unveiling. The plaque was produced by the West Sussex County Council with the help of the Shoreham Society.
